PSS HIRE steps up for Parkinson’s UK
Laughter, water, raffle prizes, cakes and lots of steps are what it took for the team at PSS HIRE to raise an impressive £5,000 for charity.
A series of fund-raising activities to celebrate the specialist division’s 25th anniversary has proved immensely successful across the last 18 months.
Staff rolled their sleeves up for the Manchester Marathon and the Bath Marathon. They also organised a water bucket challenge, raffles, a coffee morning and bake off as well as scaling the Yorkshire Three Peaks and selling tickets for comedy night, 'Shake with Laughter'.
The team presented a cheque for £5,000 to Parkinson’s UK which provides support to those living with the progressive neurological condition.
PSS Director, Mark Hamilton said he was impressed with everyone’s commitment and dedication.
“We thought one of the best ways to mark our 25th anniversary was to raise money for charity and it’s been wonderful to see how everyone has really done their bit for Parkinson’s UK.
“There have been some tough challenges but also some great times and lots of fun along the way. I would like to thank everyone for their support.”
Parkinson’s UK Regional Fundraiser, Sarah Green thanked the team at PSS HIRE.
“Our thanks go to everyone at PSS HIRE for this fantastic donation. This money will make a real difference to supporting those with Parkinson’s and the people who care for them. Well done everyone and a massive thank you!”
